i got kitty a scratching thing you hang on the doorknob but she never went for it so i decided to put it on the floor instead. she is now perpetually convinced there is something underneath it (it's not quite flat as a mat, still retains some of the sort of roundness it had when hanging). so if she's not on the bed or staring out the sliding glass window she is staring under it and/or trying to get under it or just scratching it like it was intended. :-)

today i slid a treat fast on the floor trying to make her chase it and she fucking caught that thing like a short stop. it was seriously impressive

oh and now she sleeps on a kitty bed on the bed and we cuddle. i put my arm around her body with her faced away from me and she grips my arm really tight with her arms it's sooo sweet

The boy cat is all over me because i was gone for two days. he has separation anxiety. He's been claiming me a lot. Like he does that anyway but a lot more today. he'll come to you and just basically put his whole front body on your leg or arm or shoulder then just purr and look at you like"HI! IM HERE! PET ME K?"

Both probably won't let me sleep in peace tonight. I mean they'll try to lie on me all the time (they do that the first night im back if i've been gone) which is nice when i'm awake (therey were both doing it earlier) but i can't sleep with a cat on me unfortunately. I need to move too much and what happens is subconsciously if theyre on me i wont move even if i'm sleeping and then i wake up with a a bad cramp or a backache. I'd like it a lot better if i could sleep on them instead. Like a mattress of cats but like...it wouldn't hurt them.

Your cat looks awesome.

My girlfriend and I want to get a cat when we move in together. I want to get one when it's a kitten and raise it, she wants to get an older cat that is more independent and cuddleable. I figure that it doesn't take that long for a kitten to grow, and isn't difficult to look after a kitten. She doesn't want to be involved with raising it and will probably get an older cat if I get a kitten anyway. But then it's not a certainty that they'll take kindly to each other.

Clearly our relationship is an unrepairable mess and we should break up.

Her dad lives on his farm and has many, many stray cats. He feeds them all because he's too kind-hearted not to. He's also too kind hearted to eliminate them all, most of which are sick, feral, deformed, or at least flea-ridden. A few months ago his son visited to drown them all, but there were still some that they were unable to find, and they bred their population back up again.

There are some that are reasonably healthy now that are raising their kittens with care, but the situation hasn't improved much.

We like to go for walks around the neighbourhood that I live and pat any cats that are wandering about.

I visited home recently and one of the cats that is usually extremely unwelcoming to affection despite her cuteness allowed me to cuddle her for longer than five seconds.

That's pretty much all I can say about what's been happening in my kitty life recently.

Chauncey is now toi old to jump on the bed or even prance on his back legs its sad. He used to be the dancing dog

Kitty with heart murmur seems to be doing okay, she is a gem and i dont want to lose her

I'm more of a dog person but getting mittens has changed my mind. She's a bright spot in this house.

when i first got her she was 7 lbs, and now she is 12 and the vet said that is perfect. these pics are prob 6 months old though, maybe more
