I really don't know why Myers is on the Sox roster. Yes Timlin gave up the grand slam, but they allowed Myers to pitch to a rightie. He's not even been that good at getting lefties out lately---WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU LET HIM PITCH TO A RIGHTIE?

Maybe having Heredia in there tonight has removed him from Torre's thought process. Maybe it even gets him off the ALCS roster.

Probably not though, Joe is all homo for him.

I still don't get the Sox fans (most of them that I know) rooting for the Yankees to win. It's like they'd rather beat the Yankees than win the World Series. It's a sickness they have. It's like when the Coyote passes up a free turkey dinner to go chase the Roadrunner, which we know he will never catch.

No one I talk to has said this. Probably they know you could get your ass kicked for saying something like that.

I'm not denying that such people exist (and probably own a boxed set of Dan Shaughnessy's work)....just know that there are plenty of Sox fans who don't give a shit who we face.

Oh, and going back to the whole Red Sox fans want to play New York and not Minnesota, here is a logical reason for that. I don't believe in picking one's opponent at all. But after Johnny Damon's concussion last year, he still has eyesight problems and can't pick up the ball in the white dome in Minnesota very well. That's a little nervewracking. Dave Roberts is great, but you HAVE to have Johnny on the field.
