Me too. I've already bought Nevermind twice in my life, as well as all the individual singles those B-sides came from (not to mention the Trick or Treat bootleg, which is that Paramount show). Nirvana Ltd has my money already.
All I want is the fucking original Vig mixes. Give em to me now. |

So no Sappy or Song in D from the Nevermind sessions yet? Lame. The Vig mixes should be interesting though

I totally forgot about those though. Possibly they weren't at all close to a finished state? Maybe they're holding that for more Nirvana rarities releases in the future? |

If I remember correctly, they were kind of aborted but Sappy was pretty much done (like Old Age and VCV I suppose)

Just in time for me to get over my distaste for Nirvana.

i heard some of those devonshire mixes in class earlier this year and there's no way the album would have been successful if that were the final release

I will probably re-download the original album, listen to it once and get nostalgic (about every song after 'Come As You Are', cause the rest I hear nearly daily on radio/in stores) for a little while and then never listen to it again until i'm forty and I have a kid who won't listen to music with guitars in it.

Because here's the deal. Vig only mixed half the album, then ran out of time, and give the whole project to Andy Wallace to mix the whole album. So I'm wondering wtf the Devonshire mixes are, unless it's a completely new mix created to emulate the 5-or-so songs Vig mixed back in '91. Also, yeah, you're probably right. |

It leaked.
Listening to The Devonshire Mixes of Nevermind right now (as that's pretty much the only thing new on here) and it's AMAZING. It literally sounds like them playing live in a room. The drums sound more natural, almost as good as on In Utero. If you're sick of hearing Nevermind because of the production, listen to this. Listen to the whole thing. Teen Spirit is like the least different of the album.

The boombox recordings sound like utter shit. Seems like they wanted to put some filler on this to justify the high price tag.

Nah, I've heard worse boombox recordings. They sound better than the Double Door SP shows.

Sorry to drudge this one up from the depths of the board... and on top of that, just for a re-upload request, but...
Can anybody re-up the Devonshire Mixes? Was super curious to hear those once upon a time, but somehow fell off my radar. Just finally listening to disc two of the deluxe, and it's interesting... but those pre-mastered jobs really sounded interesting. Thanks in advance... |

Like 48 hours before it came out, my brother's friend gave me a gigantic (400-something mb) .rar of ALL the songs in 320CBR, good times, sadly I don't have the link for that anymore.

honestly it's probably an indicator of a bubble, or the future valuelessness of these deluxe editions
i remember back in the mid 90s when everyone was flippin they shit over collecting comics and there was like Youngblood #1 that was limited to one million copies everyone at the time thought it was gonna be super valuable, now you can buy it for a quarter. DUH. |
