Am I the only one that can comprehend what was said? He never called him a twitch. He was referring to that generation with that comment and the ADD remark. I also like how they glossed over that he called him a great musician. I actually think Billy was being rather polite about the whole thing.

Well it was only a matter of time before it made the news rounds, since he obviously really wanted it to. I guess he's going with the all news is good news tactic.

He should threaten to sue. Cause he could be sued for saying that.

This was prime fodder for the media outlets, I don't know how Billy didn't see this one coming. His writing isn't clear which leaves it open to interpretation, so it's doubtful that he has a case for a solid lawsuit here. Since the writer was looking for an eye-catching title he should have gone with, "Billy Corgan fires drummer because he thought SP was boring," it doesn't infer anything than what Billy plainly said in his post (unlike the ADD comment).

Although, to be fair, Billy has inferred many times that he thinks this current generation, which Byrne is a part of, have very short attention spans...but that's not the reason he was fired.

He does this every time a new album is being promoted. He went into full "James Iha is a piece of shit" mode when Oceania came out, even though his comments about James have been relatively tame before and after the album came out.

If he's such a "great musician"/"the most wonderful drummer in the world", how come he hasn't been hired by a popular band since Billy fired him?

Ummm how many former members of SP or for that mater any band have been hired by a popular band within months of being fired?

How much work did Jimmy get from the time he was fired until he rejoined?

The only thing I can think of was that joke band he was in.

I saw SP with Mike on drums, and I was pretty impressed by him. They played Moby Dick that night, so there was a big drum solo halfway through the set, and it was pretty rad. Then again, I've never seen SP with Jimmy live, so I have no comparison.

Billy, you're such a dumbshit.

You hire a 19-year old nobody and then bitch about having to hold his hand. What the fuck were you thinking, that he was suddenly gonna gain fuckin 30 years of experience by just being in your presence?

I mean, Im no fan of Byrne's drumming, but for fucks sake, at least have some respect for someone YOU picked to help drag your sinking ship along.

Fuck you b0lly

At least Mike Byrne got to go for a wild ride during the past few years. I hope he learned alot during this process, but I'm quite sure that this was the pinnacle of his performing music career.
