Default Original line up recording in 2018

Hey.

So I'm at the London Drum Show today to see JC perform. Being the mad-schools JC fan I am I rock up UBER early to be front and centre. JC is there, setting up his Sakae kit with some dudes in London Drum Show t-shirts.

Drum show guy asks about the Pumpkins.

JC says they're recording next year.

Drum show guy clarifies - you mean the Complex?

JC say no man, the Pumpkins. Original line up.

* mind-splosion *

Fin.

PS. Who fuckin' knows if this will happen, there's a million reasons it could get de-railed but I think that's about as definitive as you can get at this stage.

Can you record his performance? That would be awesome.

I got a vid of him doing the usual drum show 'playing over the top of Geek USA' which came out ok. I'll upload a little later.

Headed back tomorrow to see his performance on the big stage. Today was in 'the Education Zone'. He spoke about how to be yourself and bring that into you're playing. If you've seen any of the vids of him doing clinics before that was pretty much the deal. Did Tonite, did Geek, played over a couple of Life Begins Again tracks.

It's pretty funny that Billy is trying to keep it under wraps while Jimmy casually says that they're gonna record a new album next year.

BC said he imagines to see original SP tour next year on the Rogan interview.

Jimmy talks about it like it's a fact...like it's "inked".

September 2017:

"That doesn't mean a reunion tour of any sort is anywhere near a definite thing. Iha has commitments with his band A Perfect Circle through the end of the year and Corgan is going to support Ogilala with a solo tour. Even when both projects wind down next year, they're in no hurry. "[A reunion tour] has been knocked about," says Corgan. "There's certainly gears that turn and things get waved around, but until it's inked, I'm in the dark as much as anybody But I'll say this and I mean it: If we never play a note together again, that's OK. I'm way, way more interested in the fact that we have peace with each other." "

2018 will also be Siamese Dream's 25th anniversary. Start saving up for the 12CD 5LP box set of whatever

If someone could convince him to drop the voice vibrato shit when the 4 of them start recording, and just sing... normally... there's the potential for it to be fucking amazing.

this was pretty much my first thought
musically, it's bound to be great - but how he approaches the vocals is going to make or break the record

This is the best thing I've read all year. And you're right. I feel that all this "trying to sing" quiver in his voice takes away from his original tone.

Huh. On one hand, I kinda like they're just going back into that without doing an obligatory "holy shit it's a reunion" tour. On the other hand, that might help them build back up some chemistry.

I'M GOING TOMORROW!! How early did you get there?!!

Tomorrow is the 450 person stage...and I didn't go today as I thought he would just be talking about drum stuff on the educational stage but he played Geek USA.

I hope the Sakae kit is just for Complex stuff, because it doesn't sound as natural as his usual Yamaha one.

Yes, but this will be the first time since 2000 that the original line up will suck.
