McGregor's inexperience in normal boxing showed. He wore himself out. Mayweather was very calm, very patient, and in the end, snuck up on Conor and whooped him.

One helluva a fight though. Surprised it lasted ten rounds. Kudos to both of them.

i don't know shit about boxing or MMA tbh, but i didn't realize beforehand that connor was basically signing up to compete in a style that is 100% alien to him. that's not really a fair fight in the first place.

if anyone actually cared about the value of the sport in this match and not about the fucking money, the best way to have done this would be to have two fights, one in each style.

that way you would get to see the athletes make their adjustments, integrate the necessary compromises to their style in order to hold up against a favorable fighter in their own genre, develop a strategy or tactic, etc. this fight basically belonged to mayweather long before it ever started. i mean yeah, he owned conor in boxing but it's not really a fair game, is it.

the way it went down, it was like the concussion-flavored version of michael phelps beating michael jordan in a swimming contest.
