I'd say it's getting pretty interesting

Edit: Also, he's been working on at least 20 songs, good sign.

Better Navarro than somebody like Tommy Lee. Not much better but...it could be worse.

kinda funny about 4 years ago billy turned down their bass player in favor of unknowns but now he doesn't seem to mind using their guitarist.

at least 20 songs, most of which will be horrible, and the ones that aren't will be ruined in the studio

Prairie Song has been knocking my socks off lately. And I still contend "One Hot Minute" was a great album.

Dave is a solid Guitarist and an accomplished Rock musician that has a ton of experience. This can't a bad thing at all. It's only for some solo shows so why not?

Eric Avery left on his own, he wasn't turned down by Corgan/Jimmy.

He is honestly one of my favorite guitarists so that's kind of cool.

"i explored the time with the pumpkins as a possible new member. i wasnt interested in learning songs and touring. when it turned into that we parted ways. money, as it always does, only clarified what we all wanted and didnt want. i know this is a little cryptic but i am concerned about peoples privacy, and about presenting only one side of a story in such matters. the short answer is billy was not looking for someone like me for that job."

"billy was not looking for someone like me for that job" sounds an awful lot like he was rejected

there's nothing cryptic about that at all. billy wanted to pay avery less than he wanted to play someone else's songs. duurrr.

"learning songs" is exactly what it means, it's not about creating a song it's about having someone throw you music so you can practice
