Question The Clash

So I'm interested in purchasing their debut. But from what I understand, both a UK and a US version of this disc exist, and I'm unsure of which would be the better buy. Your comments are much appreciated.

Good rule of thumb: if the band is British, and the album in question is availble in both US and UK versions, get the UK version.

I tend to agree with Rotten Iscariot, but I'd recommend that you try and find a disc that has some of the U.S. version songs--namely, "White Man in Hammersmith Palais", "Complete Control", and "I Fought the Law". I have the Singles compilation, which I find has some great tunes including the ones above--maybe you should check it out too, if you don't already have it.

the UK version is better because it's their original vision and because it starts with Janie Jones
