Probably not literally but all the Google help are dead ends. I have ABP. Extensions are erased, but the program won't uninstall and it makes for really inconvenient web browsing.

Gonna system restore this piece of shiiiit as soon as I get some important stuff off my laptop. See ya!

something on google said that zombie invasion was probably downloaded as part of a package that are sneaked into a legitimate download.

try malwarebytes? Honestly the best way is what you said already, just back everything up, and do a full system restore. I hate that shit, but it's good for the health of your comp anyway.

i'm right now myself dealing with a goddam ransomware. Now i've had those before and got rid of them through safe mode.... except they got clever and now disable safemode. If you try loading in safe mode ot shuts down. Ransomware makes it impossible to do anything in normal windows. Nothing can be used or opened. Right now I put "AVG Rescue" on a USB drive and booted from that drive. its scanning my drives for viruses. Hope it'll work. Another option if that doesn't work will be installing windows on my external drive and then try to clean my regular windows drive through it but i don't have a windows 7 cd right so is if AVG doesn't fix it i might be without a desktop for a while...

you have to get the blue key card first it's pretty easy to miss but if you backtrack you'll find some cool items.

Just make sure you have plenty of ammo because all the zombies you killed in previous areas will be restored.

what the fuck is up with them new malware? I've dealt with shit like this a dozen times in my life, I mean the serious ones that lock you out or make it almost impossible to do anything an sometimes it was a bit of bitch but I ALWAYS managed to remove everything in the end.

After two days no less i've managed to techncially remove the ransomware i had today and get back on windows except...everything is slow as shit. If i run even a simple program it can take up to ten mins to start, and like the drive isn't even reading anything for most of the ten mins. A file that would normally take 20 secs to transfer from drive to drive now takes 2 hours no less... a lot of stuff has been removed by antivirus software and such but something is obviously either still there or more likely, corrupted. Maybe the registry.

Security center wont come back on either and i tried a bunch of stuff i read online. For the first time in my life i think ill have to admit defeat and format.
