why does BC love wrestling?
I mean I liked wwf as a kid and I still enjoy it as a nostalgic thing, but I find it strange/hilarious that bc, spewer of pretentious babbling celestial bullshit, is into such a macho lighthearted sport or whatever entertainment.
I know this isn't a new question/commentary but it just crossed my mind as I landed on nwa instagram page. I'm thinking that the bill that loves wrestling is a MUCH more tolerable and pleasant person than the person he portrays on Instagram and in some public venues. and I'll save some of you the time: shallowed says ok...cool fool of a took makes a dad fucking joke...awesome rbg/sjj/mplstpr and all the other sjw's hate my guts and want me to die, aw i luv u2 guys |

This. I like Andrew WK even though it’s a bit. Sometimes it’s fun to like dumb stuff that doesn’t harm people.

I was wondering if anyone had any particular theories. something that crossed my mind: we know bc is obsessed with power. and vince mcmahon is very powerful...and I kinda think bc wanted to be vince mcmahon. bc has a propensity for childlike tendencies, and he (at least used to) have just enough money to embark on these things

The only part of it that I enjoy is the met.a 'heel' element. I tell myself billy is faking it TRYING to be a loser by liking wrestling, but in fact he doesn't. it's met.a to the extreme. I couldn't imagine something worse for him to enjoy - it's SOO fake and macho, two elements that are antithetic to SP1 values.
i know, I'm dreaming. dude is a complete loser and likes the wrestling for real. the fake billy was the SP1 billy. real billy like wrestling. puke. |

Billy liked wrestling as a child. Therefore, he owns a wrestling league as an adult. Duh.

I'm a wrestling fan too (though I don't really like today's product, I only watch stuff when guys I'm a fan of from the past like Brock Lesnar are on). Based on Billy's creative when at TNA, he seems drawn to the characters. I think when it comes to why he chooses to do business in it, he's said he enjoys just being able to be judged by fans and co-workers as who he is/what he does in wrestling without the reputation that precedes him in the music industry.

Billy, spewer of pretentious spiritual bullshit, was mostly an act. A piss take.
Over the years the pretentious spiritual bullshit Billy has become semi-real. Due to being rich, famous and uneducated he’s disconnected from real life and has found “real” identity and meaning in the things he used to pretend to be. Meanwhile, and for the same reasons, he’s never had to grow up and leave his childish and jockish interests behind. He’s a “new money” shit head who had worked hard but not nearly as hard as he thinks. He buys wrestling companies because that’s the dumb shit he’s always wanted, he’s never had to work hard enough to see the absolute waste of time such things are. A similar person might have a theme park built in their garden or buy Manchester City FC |

Dude goes to high end thrift stores and buys kitschy antiques/toys from the '50s/'60s. He loves Disney World/Land. He has mentioned that his favorite foods are foods that he can't eat anymore (hamburgers/hot dogs/fries). I think you all are reading way too much into this. He's probably just liked wrestling ever since he was a kid and it holds a magic quality to him, just like everything else above. The end.

Seems to be very true and sounds like when he connected wrestling with comparing himself to Lou Reed recently. Something about how he was only 2nd to Lou Reed in being the biggest "heel" in rock history. Another example of Corgan approximating some imagined past reality. Lou was just Lou, and there are plenty of public examples of him being pretty down to earth. It's also a weird contradiction as Corgan has always openly disdained anything considered 'underground' or being a part of 'hip' culture.

Imagine an amusement park with wrestling theme and Machina Mysteries all around with tea fountains and a giant tower in the center that sewer gases pour out of 24/7.
