yeah, of course all the crybaby bitch NHL fans neglect to point out the part earlier in the game where Avery (I think it was Avery) tried to do the same thing to Crosby, ended up falling on his ass, and Sid got called for the penalty.

Not to mention the fact that Callahan was clearly interfering with him to the point where that could have been entirely incidental.
but whatever. rangers fans will whine about everything. |

i'm not dissing crosby (on this particular play,) he's just battling hard for the puck and perhaps accidentally commits a dangerous, illegal offence. reffing is just a joke.

any fans will whine about everything. this is why intelligent sports discourse is essentially impossible.

Fuck Lebron in Cleveland...it's all about Heatley back in Ottawa. I heard the Daily Sun there had the Headline "Suck it up, Princess" with a pacifier photo-shopped in his mouth. hah.
Sharks are still a mess with their D. Maybe they enter the playoffs this year as an underdog. Why not because the Presidents Trophy and two consecutive #1 seeds hasn't done much. It could be the Teal. But I think there's also something about San Jose that softens up the team, it's weird. They're too comfortable hanging out in Los Gatos all the time or something. |

How about Thomas' save against Toronto in OT last night? Boston may not have won the game, but whew, what a beauty.

there's a rule that allows 360 degree spin-o-rama's in shoot-outs, but there is also a rule that states that the puck needs to be in a forward and constant motion towards the goal at all times. if the latter were to be taken literally, than you wouldn't even be able to carry the puck out in front of you then pull it back to take a wrist shot from the slot. this rule needs to be amended.

ya. ya. 10-0. sowhat...heh. when do they play Philly next? Sharks are there tomorrow.
Eulogy have you dropped Nittymaki yet? Looks like Neimi is about to get the firm grip on the #1 slot for the Sharks. he's looked very good in 3 straight, last night against the Wings was a good win overall for them. Logan Couture... got just a little gretzky to his game, not that he dominates like that, just the fluidity of him being 2 steps ahead and the puck seems to follow him with little effort on his part. not fazed at all being in the NHL. you guys should all start watching the pens now. if malkin can get it going when he comes back and staal works off his rust when he gets back, i don't see anyone stopping them if they keep playing like this. letang has completely replaced gonchar. still might not be as threatening/valuable on the power play yet, but i think he'll get there. just a complete team. i really can't believe this is happening without staal and with malkin seeming completely off. awesome. |

Coach Crawford is gonna get some money taken away for this rant, no doubt, but holy shit... this was the worst officiated game this season, that I've seen anyway. For fucks sake, how do you miss that? |

Oh come on. If the Pens had that many fucked up calls in one game (especially that one glaringly obvious one), you'd be ranting too.

huh? the pens were built by a brilliant general manager and a team that operates in a way that makes people want to take pay cuts to go there. there were no lebron-type "decisions" that went into making this team. no superstars colluded to go there together. it's all natural and it's FUCKING AWESOME.

The Pens might be good, but sorry man, I'm fucking sick of them.
Alot of folks are excited about the Winter Classic this year, but I wish they'd pick some different teams. |

LOL.
I think the issue is that I kinda feel like it's being crammed down our throats by the NHL, that's all. Go to the NHL on any given day, and you see Crosby and the Pens first and foremost nearly everytime, even if something big happened somewhere else. |

i'm sorry i didn't know there was another team on an 11 game win streak that hasn't lost in regulation since november 10th and another player that is on a 17-game point streak and has scored 50 points in 30 games for the first time since mario lemieux did it.

just be glad the Sharks didn't visit the Pens this current trip out east. Couture would off-set Crosby and it'd be a hell of a game. 3-1 on a tough trip thus far, tonight Sharks are in Buffalo.
Sharks last two games have been on VS., so the NHL isn't completely Crosby-centric, just seems that way. |
