I have to admit that I am really enjoying the vibe of this tour much more than the revival show at Paris and subsequent European shows. Billy seems to be in really good spirits, and the band seems to be so much more cohesive as a unit.

how bad does it suck for Billy... after 20 years of making music your stuck with Monte as your biggest fan and he's the gal throwing roses on the stage.

seriously. having that retard running after you is probably fun for a while, but when you think about it it's actually kind of depressing

I had the same feeling when I went into the states via Detroit. I fucking hate US customs. They asked my grandad if he was a member of the Nazi party. He was not amused.

so i chose to read this thread to kind of jog my memory about everything. And a few things came to mind. Lets start with this post.

But Billy was actually trying to school us in what market shares mean and the whole reason behind the multiple colors/releases at the time.

Which by the way, he told us to go do some resaerch, then come back and talk to him and THEN he will reveal why there are different colors / different versions of Zeitgeist. He said it doesn't have a single thing to do with selling more albums (hence people buying 4 copies of Zeitgeist just to get the bonus tracks).
Billy talked a lot about being out in front of the wolves (i think he was referring to the world.. instead of the "world of the fanbase") He said that Pitchfork wrote an article about the multi colors, and that other bands had done the same thing. I said "like Micheal Jackson?" He then said Beastie Boys. (can someone tell me if BB did anything like this..?). He also said that more fans should write in and stand up for the pumpkins when they have bad press like this.
(honestly, i can agree with him on that...)

He didn't say that. He didn't seem to want to go into it.

Billy said some stuff we already know about. No Gish tour unless they had something to promote. That Gish box set might never come out, but he doesn't know.
He then said the pretty much the same thing he has said about James & D'arcy
I will paraphrasing what he said.
When it comes to music he trust Jimmy first, than D'arcy. She had a good bs meter. But I NEVER trusted James (on music). James was always so trendy and ready to assimilate to the mainstream.

o ya i just recalled he talked about the investment of releasing music. (this was when he 1st showed up) speeding a million dollars and then saying 'ok well in a few years that money will come back through sales.'
