Can anyone explain the latent content of this dream I had?
It's a rarity that I could vividly remember my dreams, but I'll explain this.
Usually I get up around 3:30-5:30 in the morning, depending on whether I'm working, or doing a morning study. I got up around 5 to head over to a coffee shop to study. After studying for about an hour, I got tired and decided to go into my car to sleep. I know, I like to give a lot of detail, but this is when one of those rarities come in which you had a dream that you can talk about in detail. So here it is.
I dreamed that I woke up from my sleep in the car, drove my way out of the shopping center, and stopped at an exit waiting to make a turn. While I was waiting, a black man in a Olympic track & field uniform ran across the street. He stopped in the middle of it to inject himself with something, I don't know if it's heroin or steroids. But just when he was about to insert the needle in his bicep, an orange Honda suddenly ran right into the athlete at full speed! At the second of that collision I woke up in a hypnagogic hallucination kind of way.
I don't know how many psychoanalysts can give me a valid hypothesis on why I dreamed this, but hopefully it's not because I've been studying too much on my subjects this morning.
