It's hilarious how this shit is immortalized in their official releases while they pretend to be friends again

IIRC those are the same liner notes from 1993
“He too” like me “being gratefully left out of the recording process for once“ as in “I’m glad it turned out so well without me being involved” Still, Blew Away should have been on a proper album. Fuck you Billy! |

No, the original liner note excerpt for that song was this:
“BLEW AWAY- written by and produced by the man himself, welcome to james. quiet and cool and whispered. this is a beautiful song. the only song we have ever done that i was not 9did not stick my nose i(to)and i am glad i didn't. not to be confused with blue. and if you love her… blew away has kerry playing drums cause jimmy was on vacation” |

Blew away Kerry Brown that he got a Grammy as a producer for Mellon Collie -doing the job just for James Iha's songs.
Mostly in his barn studio in Watervliet, where he lived with D'arcy. Got him the nickname "Farmer Brown". Last edited by Corgan's Bluff : 09-09-2023 at 11:10 AM. Reason: f |

He's such a narcissist. And to imagine that he is in a "good place" after all of these years is really to turn a blind eye towards all this garbage. The continued "my dad" insults are just another part of this...
Does he also make these comments about Iha's contributions on the other early albums? Minimizing his SD contributions? I would think a song by song for TAFH would give Billy a great opportunity to dump on James. |

Image being such a supremely insecure prick that you have to take credit for the b-side written by the rhythm guitarist of YOUR band

Their big reunion tour staging was lots of photos of Billy through the ages coupled with messianic imagery.
So… yeah. |

Glad I didn't buy any of the reissues. I downloaded them all on the interweb. I don't think I've even bothered listening to most of the extra tracks

The original excerpt is much less passive aggressive than what he wrote in the reissue, clearly.

Let’s not forget that James Iha wrote the music to the single best SP song of all time. That must sting.
