Default yuck, for fans of pavement, smashing pumpkins and dinosaur jr

Not really interested in posting here anymore, but i felt i wanted to to mention this band since it's pretty much the only one i've heard that's got the style down so nice but also writes brilliant songs that equal what those bands did.

check out this lovely number (Here and Rineosaurusdsf in one)

or this one, reminds me a little bit of a lot of good stuff:

but the whole debut album sounds rock solid to my jaded ears.

Chew sounds like classic Smashing Pumpkins. I think it's my favorite Yuck song so far.

Thanks! Somehow I completely missed the new single.
I always find it quite annoying, when people complain about SP Mike just because of his age. Yuck's singer/guitarist is 21 - but he is talented.

he's ok but he would sound like shit if he was the new lead singer of Queen. get it?

Yuck are pretty good. I liked s/t but the songs don't have the depth of their influences. They have the Dinosaur Jr. sound down pretty well on the surface, but the songwriting and instrumental arrangements still have a ways to go before the band reaches that level of goodness.

True. But for a debut album, they did pretty well, imo.

It's Sunday. On Sunday, I try to read all rbg-posts with my filterallarrogantdouchery-glasses. Also I had a cookie-accident.

forgive me, I should have realized all art throughout history is of an absolutely equal quality and it is wrong to treat it critically in any manner

so your position is that things should either be considered good or bad with no in between huh. that sounds like a good opinion man

Pains of Being are also ok but I don't think they even come as close as Yuck to capturing that magic they are going for though. I do like that song about fucking the girl in the library a lot

well to start with that's just, like, your opinion man because i think three of the songs off that last pains album are better than anything yuck has to date but that's just what i think

what's the real point of arguing/criticizing music anyway who gives a toss it's just a bunch of wanking into a big cum puddle of egotism
