I hope this means they will be busting this out on the forthcoming tour.

I prefer the drum mix on the outtake.

I wonder what Billy's least favourite studio drum moment is? Surely it's Byrne's embarrassing attempt at Quasar

Geek USA's drum performance has to be up there as one of the greatest.

One fucking incredible Pumpkins studio drum take that always gets forgotten is Tribute to Johnny.

Geek USA wins for best creativity.

Jellybelly wins for hardest to play.

Hummer live in SD era was always awesome. I know it's not studio but poo poo pee pee

I like how he changes the part up a bit at 5:09 in Hummer.

The outro was at its peak at Pinkpop

I feel like he made JB way harder than it needed to be, kinda. Like on the intro part...he didn't really need to play all those singles in there between cymbal hits like that. You can't even hear them live

I mean it's badass as fuck though

And yeah I wonder how Geek was written. Did it start with the snare riff then Billy wrote guitar based on that?

Would love to hear the story of how the drum parts for Geek were made. The long fill leading into the first verse is incredible.

Definitely.

...probably my favorite live performance by Jimmy/SP:

At 3:31...those incredible fills which lead into Billy's awesome guitar solo...I still get goose bumps every single time I watch that clip.

Dude. That is furious. I love the little non-verbal communication between BC and JC. They just know what's up. And it is just sick to take this monster of a song and double time it

special special shout-out to hummer for its pure bad-assery, variety of sound/dynamics & simple yet perfectly-times SLAMS (c'mon let's jam)

Billy discussed the writing of Geek U.S.A. in his Guitar World articles reprinted in the MCIS tabbook.

I'd love to hear that unedited long version of the song.

cash car star is a ridiculously busy drum song as it is and JC just plowed through it twice as fast. crazy. i always thought billy must have been laughing throughout the song because of how ridiculous jimmy is on that performance
