absolutely not. i know bipolar people and i don't think i classify. like, at all. but he wanted to sit through 2 hrs of my life story instead of going here's a prescription kthnxbye, which is rare for psychiatrists, so i'm giving him the benefit of a doubt. he kept insisting on it so i was like whatever i never went to med school what do i know

i went in for workplace anxiety. i probably should've stuck to talking about panic attacks but i'm always a sucker for conversation so i went into depression and it pretty much became just about that. i didn't expect to walk out with xanax but i really wanted something more.. immediate. this stuff isn't even supposed to take effect until like 4 weeks

it will be worth it in the end, just gotta be patient. how much did he start you on, and do you have a plan to increase it gradually or are you staying on that dose until you see him again? most shrinks start it low because of the rash risk. i take 400mg now which is at or near the highest dose.

my dose is very very low.. like 25 mgs or some shit. he says he'll up it but he wants to see the bloodwork first. he thinks my thyroid could be fucked. the next visit will go to 100 mgs.. assuming i don't have cancer or ebola

yeah i have hypothyroid so i know how that goes. even if your thyroid is fucked, it's not a big deal. it would actually be an easier fix most likely

Here they wont let you have more than 4 or 5 at a time. Basically they don't hand them out except for "emergencies". Because addiction. I remember once i wanted to get some for my gf (who couldn't go to the doctor cause she doesnt have insurance here) and i went to like 4 doctors before one let me have about 6. (I mean i of course pretended it was for me because i had serious insomnia from anxiety, which is actually common) The only times i got some for myself were when i went to the hospital during a panic attack. To be fair though during serious panic attacks i don't find ativan does much for me. |

Not around here they don't.
I mean basically i could tell that the doctors were thinking look if you really have anxiety/panic issues, why don't you get a doctor (i was going to no appointments clinics) and have him prescribe you proper long-term meds for your anxiety. |

Though it might be easier now that everyone has a medical file that all health professionals can access. I mean i think the reason too why they wouldn't hand them is because they don't know if you've been seeing other doctors who have also prescribed you some already. I could basically feel they thought i was just some junkie. But a couple years ago the ministry of health came up with this thing where you can have your whole medical history (including prescriptions) made readily available to any health professional. So if you're in the system, they know exactly what medication has been prescribed to you by anyone. I suppose it probably makes it easier to get in bigger amounts now.

I know. Fuck doctors and minding our business! GIMME DRUGS,
On the other hand though, in the US you can't buy stuff with pseudo-ephedrine easy because of alleged meth production. I guess it's not an issue here, you can have all the sudafed you want. Anyway my day is being shit cause i went over to my brother for a week and its november and part of his mental problems is insisting that the heat be kept down to a minimum (well to save on bills but this is ridiculous, he could afford it) which means his house is never above 15 celsius (59 F) which is miserable and depressing. I mean i love him but for fuck sake no wonder you're depressed and tired all the time! I was in bed 3 hours before my regular bedtime and slept 3 hours longer than i normally do. It wears my body out being here. I'm sitting here with a t shirt, a hoodie and a wool jacket on. I'm wearing gym pants plus jeans over it and wool slippers. i'm still cold. 15 outside is ok. 15 inside with no sun and sitting down is not. There is scientific research to back it up. Animal studies, but still. Time to ejaculation dramatically increases after the first sex with a new partner, and returns almost to zero when a new mate is introduced |

I find first times with anyone have generally been...difficult to say the least. that hasn't happened in some years (first time with someone new i mean) now but the last time i was still wondering "will this ever feel natural and not completely anxiety/panic inducing?" Anyway if things go according to plan i probably shall not ever experience a first time with anyone else. But of course things never go according to plan in life so....

Yeah this psychiatrist told me last time "I'll prescribe you whatever you want" and I said Ativan
I used to have a Xanax prescription but I found it to actually be weaker or at least work much worse than Ativan so idk. This is the only drug I've ever found useful but it is an emergency only thing |
