Yes,
I'm think I'm going to post my tape on the archive.org website anyway. The sound quality is not as good comparing to yours, but I'm not sure the difference is worth the bucks you've spent to get your expensive recording gear.

3 more samples (starz, stand inside your love, doomsday clock) from my tape here :

Does anyone have the time to put the VBR mp3 .zip file on Megaupload or something similar? I'm sorry to ask, but my new internet connection on campus and archive.org apparently aren't getting along.

I've attempted to D/L to the show 5 or 6 times now, and each time it eventually falls to and stays at 0.4 KB/sec. At that speed, it'd take about 130 hours to complete.

So, can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.

In venues that have bad acoustics like this shithole there really is not much difference. Listen to this recording or this one and you'll see that the price for my gear is usually well worth it

Of course! you really got amazing results + imho taping with cardioid mics is harder than using omnis (have to respect XY configuration in order to get decent sound spaciality and so on...).

Not to turn this thread into a battle, but just because I'm so happy with my SP mics , this is an exerpt of my best taping effort to date : http://www.megaupload.com/fr/?d=6335LYD0

btw, did you tape the opening band too?
I live near Colmar and the drummer of the band I'm playing in knows the guys and already gigged with 'em!

(1) Well, it's subjective. I liked it best of the ones I've heard.

(2) He got pretty far, and on hearing that I do think that is part of why it was better. He gave it space, and thus it came off as less gratuitous and started to carry its own punch, to set its own pace and mood.

I think the version at Pukkelpop was as long as the one in Colmar. Maybe even longer. Then again i didn't time it and i haven't listened to the boots yet. But at Pukkelpop Billy kinda seemed to go one forever.

Hey Sick As Ice Cream, i hope you're feeling better!

No, I really don't think so. The recording is just OK.

For outdoor shows, my setup of choice would have been split omnis. But I don't have the omni caps for my mics...

This sounds really nice. The SP/ATs are some of the best miniature mics out there together with the DPA 4061, Sonics and OKM-IIs.

My sister is a fan of this band. Could you maybe torrent your recording?

No, and to be honest I'm happy I didn't waste my time on taping them. I haven't seen a worse band in the last 5 years.
