Bodies Appreciation Thread

I haven't seen much appreciation (or any) for this song in the forum and I wonder if anyone likes as much as I do. To me this is a legendary musical piece. Easily in my all time top 5 list. Please share your appreciation (or dislike) towards this song.

Really mixed feelings - love the heaviness and especially the distant backing vocals but the whole "love is suicide" and some of the most grating vocals in the SP canon prevent it from being in any contention for tops on the album for me

i remember being 15 and reading the lyric booklet.... even at that age i was like "love is suicide? ...seriously?"

but yeah, its stoner rock billy at his best. and the way it Where Boys Fear segues into it is amazing

It always reminded my of that type of love you had between a girl that was really fun but you knew it wouldn't last and even though it was going to hurt later you still went with her.

No. It's commonly rated lowly because it's just not that good. The middle part (~1:56) is the only thing at all interesting about it.

There are much better songs that are much more underrated.

Chill. I'm just giving my opinion. I don't even like Pissant that much, but it's better than Bodies (in my opinion). If I say I think Pink Floyd is a "better" band than the Beatles, it doesn't make it fact. My opinion really shouldn't bother you as much as it seems to. If this riled you up, what would you say if I told you I rather enjoy "We Only Come out at Night" and "Lily"?

Much like "X.Y.U." I was actually off put at first by how over-the-top "woe is me" the song was. That being said, it's got a great vocal performance, great (even if simple) guitar interplay between Billy and James, and works very well with "Where Boys Fear to Tread."
