O-ho. Weeeeeeeeeellll
Kyle's mom is a bitch,
she's a big fat bitch,
she's the biggest bitch in the whole wide world
She's a stupid bitch,
If there ever was a bitch,
She's a bitch to all the boys and girls.

Monday she's a bitch,
on Tuesday she's a bitch,
on Wednesday to Saturday she's a bitch
Then on Sunday, just to be different,
she's a super King Kamehameha bi-atch!

yeah, it really is. better late than never, though. i'm enjoying it so far. I've a lot to learn, though, still.

netphoria has a rep, and we need to protect and defend that at all costs, so don't tell anyone it isn't quite as evil!

as for where you're from, in recent years (more like past decade) simply all non-US sites and communities stopped to exist, so by now it's pretty rare to come across people who love this music and aren't from either North America, Oceania or Europe, maybe that's why people make a big deal out of it haha.

when. dear god. December 1993, song - Disarm, played on guitar by a schoolmate.
(then I dropped the shit instruments I was learning and had to take up guitar, too, OF COURSE.)

I can't quite imagine what it's like to have all of it - including the output from 2007 to now - right in front of you, at the beginning of getting into this music. what a ride!

"oh this is Porcelina- next - Dorian - uhuh- next - Obscured - weep, next - Quasar"

I mean I had that too, with say jazz or music from the 60ies and 70ies, somehow with Pumpkins, I simply can't imagine it.

hahaha yes. this is exactly what happened. everything just seemed like it was all over the place. there wasn't one particular sound; with each album, it was like listening to a different band, in the beginning.

yeah, heh. no one around here knows the Pumpkins. people from the generation I belong to, at least. Almost everyone I know has very crappy taste in music imo. I just feel like they don't appreciate it. I mostly come across people who like Drake, The Chainsmokers etc. sucks, I guess. But then I kind of like the exclusivity of being the only huge fan around here for some weird reason haha.

rottenugly was ok but then he got creepy. he found a member's facebook page and posted pics of them that they didn't authorize and didn't post on here themselves. there must have been something else. i wasn't a mod then.

MIS, I can't imagine getting into the Pumpkins so recently. When I got into them they only had released gish, sd, pi, and mcis. And all the rare tracks were actually rare - you had to trade bootleg tapes to listen to them.

1. do you like the newer music as much as the older music? if not, are there certain songs you think are just as good as the older stuff? if yes, do you realize most of us think quality declined at some point - some people think adore (minority), some think starting with zwan, others think with zeitgeist

2. rate the albums from fav to least fav?

3. have you listened to solo/zwan?

whoa. must've been cool to be able to experience them in their prime.

okay, so:

1. I like the older music better. I see myself enjoying some tracks off Oceania, and only one track off MTAE (One And All) every once in a while. I fully enjoy music they've made up till Machina II. Even Zeitgeist was good imo, but it wasn't as great as pre-2001 SP. I forget that American Gothic exists sometimes haha. TBK was... well, I don't really know what to say. I enjoyed Freak, Tom Tom and Spangled, but otherwise, nothing special. I've already told you about MTAE and Oceania.

Honestly, the whole "lover" thing BC had going for him post-2007, didn't really resonate with me.

I heard some tracks from Zwan. I'm yet to listen to some more stuff. I found Honestly a little cheesy hahahah. First Zwan track I heard, that is. To conclude, pre-2000 SP made the most memorable music. It'll stay with me forever. Can't say the same thing for some of the later records.

2. Aaah. Tough one. Very tough one. A lot of their albums are more or less tied for me. Sigh. I'll give it a shot anyway:

a)Siamese Dream/Mellon Collie
b)Machina II
c)Gish
d)Machina/TAFH
e)PI/Adore/Earphoria(?)
f)Oceania/Zeitgeist
g)MTAE

well, that's the best I can do as of now lol.

3. I've listened to TheFutureEmbrace and Ogilala, yep. And I've already mentioned Zwan in the first answer. I don't have any problems with Ogilala, actually. I liked it. Of course, liquid, shredding on guitar Bill > acoustic guitar peaceful Bill (not to say I don't like the latter, it's just that I like the former more )
TFE was cool. It wasn't GREAT, so to speak, but I enjoy it every once in a while. I particularly likes Sorrows, off it.

Did I answer your question adequately?

trading bootleg tapes and shit actually sounds kind of fun. of course, less convenient, but you get a greater sense of accomplishment too!

I don't mean to sound like one of those "born in the wrong generation" teens, but...

For real. Right now, we've access to pretty much every Pumpkins song and it takes ~30 seconds to find, lol.
