Default Fuck this shit, man

I wake up all excited because my registration time is good and there are five classes i actually want to take.

turns out it's probably not good enough. the english classes i want have 3 spots and 2 spots left in them, respectively. and don't register for 50 more minutes.

WHY CAN'T I EVER TAKE WHAT I FUCKING WANT TO

wahhh wahhhhhhh i know

bah, i got everything i wanted except the american film class. but that's the one that i really wanted. i got the last spot in my fiction writing class. bah.

so instead of american film i'm taking a class on mark twain. the professor is a nice grampa type guy. i had him last year and he was pretty cool. so i guess i don't have much reason to whine.

but still. i'd rather write papers on silence of the lambs than huck finn and shit. you know what i'm sayin?

it's always more interesting to take classes in things you're NOT interested in.
force you to learn stuff.
coasting is for panzies. be a man. DO IT.

better you get your own ideas (rooted in other tangents) on what you're actually interested in
then getting stuck with the pigeon hole the prof gives you...
it's just an undergrad. dont' sweat it.
for now it's all about taking it in the ass anyhow.

Well, it gets easier as you go on, right? That's the way it is here - the more senior students register first.

Oh that sucks big time. I registered yesterday and only didn't get one of my classes... I've got:

Financial Economics
Public Economics
Socioeconomic Problems of the Family
International Nutrition Social/Environmental Policies
Sewn Products Analysis

I can drop my Human Ecology degree and graduate at the end of next semester with my Economics degree... considering it.

DO IT! all this double majoring business is a waste of time. that's what i tell myself. i'm not even sure i'm gonna finish out the journalism minor. although that would probably piss off the people i know that didn't get into it.

and what is sewn products analysis, exactly?

Yeah I'm really considering it. I've got a good job prospect already that would be thrilled for me to graduate early.

Sewn Products Analysis: Evaluation of soft goods, including materials, quality of work, and costs

It's in the Textiles & Apparel department. If I decide to drop the major it's the first thing to go!

man i'm so serious. DO IT. especially if your future employers would like it. nothing to gain by sticking around.

Every semester I get fucked in registration.

I only have 3 classes registered right now, and I'll wait till right before the semester when the people who haven't paid their bills are dropped from the classes so I can snag up some ones I really want.

apparently the journalism teacher gives multiple breaks during the 2.5-hour class because he smokes a lot and he rips students' shit apart in front of the entire class on a regular basis.

sounds like my kind of dude.
