I haven't seen this but I remember seeing the VHS at the rental store as a kid in the '80s. Produced by Canadian Film Development Corportation (now Telefilm Canada). Bonus points for John Saxon who also played a cop in Nightmare on Elm Street. Official taglines: If this movie doesn't make your skin crawl... It's On Too Tight! Christmas is coming early this year. And it's murder. The sort of Christmas you don't dream of. A Christmas with another colour brings a killer on the loose! Before its release, the 2019 remake, led by a female director and writing team, had some positive buzz as being kind of a feminist reimagining. But it bombed hard, and most critics I read said the feminist themes were really flat and not fleshed out. I was kind of rooting for it, but I don't think I'll get around to watching.
Now, if someone wants to take on the SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT series, I'm in there opening night Many of you have probably seen the infamous "GARBAGE DAY" scene without realizing it's from the sequel |

Heck yeah, it's been a long time and I didn't realize there were so many. Not very interested in exploring the later ones though.
