Talking Paul McCartney to replace Kurt Cobain in Nirvana

Sir Paul McCartney to replace Kurt Cobain in Nirvana reunion

Quote:
McCartney will be supported by drummer Dave Grohl, bassist Krist Novoselic and unofficial fourth member Pat Smear for the 12.12.12 concert for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

It will be the first time the surviving members of the grunge band have played together in 20 years.

[McCartney] told The Sun: “I didn’t really know who they were. They are saying how good it is to be back together. I said ‘Whoa? You guys haven’t played together for all that time?

“And somebody whispered to me ‘That’s Nirvana. You’re Kurt.’ I couldn’t believe it.”

The outfit will not see Paul McCartney try his hand at classics Smells Like Teen Spirit or Lithium, however.
Instead, the four will play a new song at the New York charity concert.
I mean this whole thing is fucking stupid anyway but I don't know if this makes it more or less stupid.

The roger waters performance was bad ass. Vedder killed comfortably numb. Didn't see the stones, were they any good? Who are just so so

I thought Waters' voice sounded great at the beginning and then inexplicably evaporated halfway through. The Who's performance was really good except that Daltrey can't sing too well anymore. Pete played like a motherfucker though. Stones sucked.

I'm pretty sure he lip synched most of in the flesh (the opening song), as well as parts of other songs.

this isn't true.

You can say you don't like his music. But the guy knows how to write a song.

How many Billy Joel songs have you heard man?

Billy Joel's songs are a product of their time and good I think. He was an excellent pianist though.
