2,3 and 10 are pure filler. 1 & 4 are ok. 5-9 pretty good.

production sounds a little flat to me, compared to Year Zero.

i don't think it sucks at all.

it's (so far) resting comfortably at the bottom of my NIN album rankings, but whatev. it was free.

<3 Trent.

its ok. I doubt I will play it that much. One or two great songs...the rest is pretty average forgettable NIN by numbers

there are a few tracks on here that are really, really good:

lights in the sky is fantastic, the four of us are dying is ridiculous, echoplex is cool for it's use of bass harmonies to form the core of the song, and head down reminds me of year zero's in-your-face satire of government suppression.

the record is solid with a several gems to be had. that's not bad for a month's worth of writing.

His post-The Fragile stuff, has yet to do much for me :/ Still, at least they've got Frinck back for the live band. Should make things at bit more interesting, if only Renholder would come back too.

Well yeah, North wins that one for the SRV guitar incident alone. The Frinck's still damn cool though, in a kind of reminiscent way.
