They're almost the polar opposite, aside from St. Anger which i will concede is a pretty good parallel to Zeit in a way

I mean, Load/Re-Load suck a lot too, but they still managed to keep their career on track. Billy, not so much.

Load/Reload were the Machinas of their career, and even then they weren't nearly the departure that Adore/Machina were for SP

Eh, it's been years, but off the top of my head, there's nothing I'd go back to either album for. Then again, I also have no use for The Black Album or any of their newer stuff.

well it's just two bands that have fallen from grace like very few others have
what i see is bands that once made albums that got universal praise and now make music that is laughable. also the band members in both cases turned into huge assholes who lost all grip on reality |

Maybe I'm just too much of a casual fan to really tell, but it seemed like they bounced back relatively well after St. Anger
Better than SP have managed since "the Zeit" at least James' little feud or whatever with Jason Newsted WAS pretty damn familiar to the Corgan/Nicole thing tho |
