also, this is clearly a later repressing. the original album wouldn't have stickers about "biggest selling album in record history" or "all the classic hits".

I frequent a local indie record store who participates in Record Store Day, and they keep track of who buys what. So if someone buys a Rolling Stones re-issue or whatever and tries to sell it on Ebay the next day at a high mark-up, the store will find out and call them out on it. I don't know that they can really do anything about it, but the fact that they are willing to shame their own paying customers is pretty inspiring just the same.

The people in the pic are season ticket holders who own the whole first row in our section. (my seats are in row 3) They're the only people I've ever seen at a hockey game drinking cocktails. they own a chain of gyms. Their behavior is very poor example for their customers

What kind of person would go into a record store, buy a record and immediately post it to eBay?

I don't blame the record store. They'd only do that to people who bought something relatively rare and thought they were getting one over on the record store

people scour thrift and antique stores to turn around and sell those items, too. if you're lucky enough to find a hot deal and make a profit, that's great and it's perfectly acceptable. it's just stuff and so are records.

and it's definitely not worse than buying out tickets to rob people of their money.
