Default The NBA thread

It's that time of year again boys. It's been a long off-season, now let's get back to some hoops.

I've gotta couple picks to kick the year off:

Phoenix -6

Sacramento +5.5

I fully expect the Sac/LAC game to end within 5 points... All signs point to the Clippers winning by a 3 or 4 point margin.

He makes everything look too easy...3-pointers, alley oops, handle on the dribble, having a hot wife and cute daughter, taking the mic at the ring ceremony last night and making everybody in the house feel at home. dude is something else...

Usually not, but every once in awhile a line pops out that is just such a sure thing that you just have to hammer it and take full advantage of it. I won a few grand from the casino playing slots and roulette a few weeks back so it was a risk I was willing to take.

That's one thing about gambling, knowing when to bet big and when not to.

gambling and sports go hand and hand. Even daily fantasy sports are just blowing up right now.

When I see lines that seem THAT big when in my minds eye it really shouldn't be, it tells me to just jump on the big line.

That's my whole angle to gambling, trying read Vegas' hand in why a line is the way it is.

I was way off on my Houston bet today, but I did hit the Charlotte one, another game where the underdog that people had no money on ends up covering by 1 point.

That was hands down the most embarrassing beatdown I've ever seen. I thought the Grizz were a generally good defensive club? Just an embarrassing performance

Dubs v Clips tonight fuzz...7.5 to 8 is what I just saw...220 on the o/u. They got at least one more statement game in them this early season.

f.y.i. on them later this year. They got a bunch of backloaded home games this season which will help if they get through it to there o.k., but they are traveling 15,000 more miles than the Clippers this year.

that's 5 more cross country trips all told. could factor in on them later on and slow 'em to just over 60 wins this year.

Nice angle I never noticed that.

Should be a good matchup today, I'm thinking it'll be a close game, will probably end within 5 points or so, so I think the Clips cover.

Then again, the Dubs have squashed every spread they've been up against easily thus far so they're a hard team to bet against right now
