You were obsessed with Greenday as an eight year-old!? That's a bit unusual.

Yeah, I heard Basket Case when it was brand-new and it elicited something of a spiritual awakening. My mom took me out to buy the cassette tape a week or 2 later and it was the beginnings of being obsessed with music.

I'd literally go to the corner store pharmacy and be thrilled to see Green Day on the cover of Hit Parader and Circus and just buy and stare at the magazines. There was a lot of Green Day/Offpspring poster magazines and stuff at the time. Green Day was even in "Teen Beat" magazine, and I'd just look at the pictures in my elementary school library.

Of course being huge on Green Day in those days lead me to discover other great albums like Siamese Dream, Smash, Superunknown ETC... I had all of those cassette tapes.

It's pretty crazy that Green Day was in such magazines, come to think about it.

Wow... This is a nostalgia trip. I had these magazines.

You could find these in any grocery stores and places like that... Crazy to think that such great music was so mainstream

I used to worship Billie Joe.

I'm not a fan of Greenday anymore. I don't think Billie Joe is really one of the greats. I think American Idiot is a poor album, not up to the standard of their previous releases.I don't understand the fuss about that one.

I have never listened to Boris and only know of their existence through foolofatook. Perhaps he can recommend one of their album to me.
