Having trouble seeing the lion on MTAE

Yes, I know it's supposed to be a lion but I keep waiting for it to jump out at me but nothing. I looked up the lions at the Art Institute and I just can't see them in it. Is it supposed to jump out at me and eventually be clear or just be an unassuming blob, because I just can't see it. It's annoying me like I know this thread will annoy you.

it's like the entire left side of the cover

looks more like a collection of clouds that resemble a lion, than a lion, but you can see that ear and top of the mane pretty clearly, at least

Yeah, I see that I guess I was expecting to eventually see the face clearer which im not. Thought it may be hidden and really jump out at me in time.

Are you having a laugh?

If you look at the lion from the right angle and the right shadows (in person), the face and mane look identical to the album cover. If by chance it's not the actual AIC lions, then it's a replica of them. The artist who created the lions some 130 years ago had a distinct style that's easily identifiable. Though it's hard to tell from the album cover which lion it is, since it has been digitally manipulated.
