Help Shutting Down Ebay Auctions for Tickets
http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Smashing-Pumpk...QQcmdZViewItem
asheville tix going for $2,000 Any ideas on how to stop these auctions? I'm sure someone close to the band could figure out something. If i get names of the people putting up these auctions i will personally make it my point not to let these people get away with this. |

$2000, I'm sorry but I wouldn't pay that much for any SP concert.... well maybe if I got to choose the entire setlist and invite as many friends as I wanted....
Seriously though, what would piss me off most about paying that much for a ticket would be the fact that all the cash is going into a scalpers hand and not the bands. Anyway I live in Australia so I doubt they'll be coming here anytime soon, although hopefully before around April next year cause I'm going to University in Japan next year and buying tickets and getting to shows there wouldn't be easy. |

Who cares????!!!! I care, because these scalping fucks are making it harder for me to buy a ticket at a fair price. Also, I, and I'm sure many other fans are in the same boat, can't justify paying an ungodly amount of $ for one show when there are "real world" expenses we have to worry about.

This is why you should get into little indie bands instead of corporate behemoths.

where is Quinto when we really need him?
The fact that scalpers have to walk up to the venue should allow some hired goons to inflict some major beat downs. In fact, Jimmy could be called upon from backstage to burn the lies off their soul right in front of the will call line. No, but good thread, I will report these shitheads too when I have time |

In theory, these people can only sell a single ticket, and that's only if they meet up with the person so that they walk in together. The tickets are non-transferable.

I find it strange that Travis_Wright is looking around Ebay for pumpkins tickets. Sounds to me like he is trying to make a quick buck. Huh fellas?

C'mon guys, don't screw the fans that wanted to go but couldn't get tickets. With the whole "non-transferrable" thing, it's even harder to buy online tickets. While the policy may have helped people like me who have tickets, it likely will make the scalped tickets even pricier, although there will be fewer available. Just saying, it's pretty depressing if you missed out on the initial sale and have no way of getting them beyond that.

How are people even making legitimate sales. I somehow doubt they are going to let someone pick up two tickets and hand them over to someone else.
