I thought the recordings were surprisingly good. Are you listening to the vinyl or the digital download? It wouldn't surprise me if the vinyl just isn't that superb of a pressing/mastering and it sounds kind of muddy.

I don't think I've used my hi-fi in a month

I need a new cheap tabletop for spinning garage sale 45's. I had one of those Urban Outfitters Crosley models that lasted 7 years but when I replaced the needle it stopped tracking correctly. The cartridge was scraping some records and I couldn't fix it. It's been out of commission for 8 months or more.

So, last month I won a $100 gift to a record store! It took forever to actually go because I have my kid orbiting me all the time. Usually this is awesome because she's fucking awesome, but it's not conducive to being able to really browse like I wanted to.

Hennyway, I went in today because she was off at the movies with her grandma and I ended up getting:

that's all $100 (actually $106) got me. records are fucking expensive, yo.
