Default Any sports gamblers here?

I've been making some decent money during the MLB season. Anyone else enjoy the fine entertainment of sports while making a couple bucks?

I once won a bunch of money betting but it wasn't my money on the line. It was 2006 and in numerology that's an 8 year, representing good fortune and money. I've got an old school friend who's been running books forever and he knows me pretty well.

This was the year Barbaro was 'destined' for the Crown, so, well, that first race he wore number 8. And Won. Can't remember what his odds were, thought he was a long-shot at the time.

Next race, he wears number 6. I was like, "wah...why?". I call my buddy and he doesn't get it really, but then Barbaro freaks out in the gate. Omen. then the tragic leg break.

and of course, the Number 8 horse wins the Preakness, at long odds.

Here comes the Belmont. By the time the race came my bookie buddy had 5 large on it with 30% coming my way if the 8 horse went off at long odds and won, and that's exactly what happened. I was just amazed he actually did it and astonished the number 8 horse won each race of the triple crown that year, pretty sure all were long shots.

That's beautiful.. It's like Karl Marx conquering the Promised Land of Canaan.

I love it!
