Chelsea Wolfe tomorrow

I am EXCITE, looking forward to hear her new album live
also tickets were $15 - and it's in one of the best sounding venues I've ever been to.

Seeing some local band tonight called Lightfoils? Heard one song when a friend said I should see them and bought the $8 ticket based on that.

Also, Joy Formidable played a free show in KCMO a couple Fridays ago but it had poured and poured rain for a few hours beforehand. So there was mayyyybe 100 people there and i felt bad for them.

i'm seeing dEUS in december.
they're doing this "quiet" tour ("soft electric tour" is the official name) with seated venues and setlists quite different to what they usually play.
should be good.

I've taken to just "maybe"ing on the event page for most shows. Because half the time I end up not going anyway.

like tonight is craig finn (as the headliner; he came a few months ago as opener) but i'm cash poor until tomorrow ofc.

so next show i will definitely try for is birthday massacre (opening) in lawrence in early november.

i'm also a little irritated because i thought death in june would be playing chicago at the exact time i'd be able to swing by when i'll be there anyway for the last kill hannah shows but turns out the chicago date is two weeks before.

death in june comes to america like once every two years and always the big cities and i think dude wants to retire live playing soon.

Is anyone going or would like to go the Joanna Newsom concert at the Apollo? I am going with my boyfriend to the show at the king's theatre and am undecided if I would like to see her twice in one week.

mewithoutYOU + The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die
Belle and Sebastian performing If You're Feeling Sinister

We had tickets to see the Eagles of Death Metal next week, but of course that's not happening now. Bummer, I really enjoyed their new album.

Think I may see Wolfmother in February. Meant to see them a few years back, but that plan oddly fell through and I can't remember why. And funny The Cure was mentioned above, since a friend lucked out and got tickets for their show next June at UIC Pavilion before it sold out. I bet they'd be a good band to see live, and maybe I'll try on the secondary resale tix market if I can get one for that show?

Damn, I somehow remember when Ima Robot and Kill Hannah opened for The Sounds once years ago at Metro. Heh, I find it funny when I was looking up things about Kill Hannah, that I saw in another city that they once opened for Papa Roach, of all bands! I think that was in 2003 or 2004?

Also, I went to one of Kill Hannah's 2 last Metro shows on Friday, and they were still as good as I remember. Are there any others who also attended that show, recall the reason why they didn't replay the song Sick Boy at their shows for years? I was trying to catch the reason why, and oddly missed it. Would've liked for them to play more of their 90s and 2000s songs(pre-For Never And Ever), but it was still a decent show anyway. Would've went Saturday, except that this show already sold out. And was okay, since I was more itching to hear their older songs anyway. Would've been nice if they'd skipped Unwanted, though. Hate that song so much!

I wanted to go see Mogwai at the Barbican, but I won't be able to make it. I saw them performing the music to the Zidane film there and it was cool.

Here's my current list:

Brian Wilson performing Pet Sounds (London)
Milo + Open Mike Eagle (London)
Radiohead (London)
Belle & Sebastian performing If You're Feeling Sinister (London)
Pitchfork Festival (Chicago)
Sufjan Stevens (Denver)
