Just watched season 1 of Extras! Holy shit, why did it take me so long to get into Ricky Gervais' work, guys a comedic genius. Fuck was that funny.

If anyone needs a good laugh who hasn't seen the series yet, go check it out!

I can help.

Thanks for the reminder pave, really looking forward to season 4. For those not familiar with the Fargo series this is the only animation utilized but it is pretty amazing.

I watch mostly true crime bullshit on whatever streaming or regular TV I come across.

Hulu makes it super easy to stay current with all my dumb sitcoms (Fresh Off the Boat, Blackish, Superstore, etc) and I just recently finished binge-ing Brooklyn Nine Nine and started on Broad City (the episode where their friend becomes a naturalized citizen is my favorite thing.)

I would recommend everyone stop what they're doing and go through the eight episodes of The Night Of. That was fucking INTENSE. I did feel they rushed it just a bit towards the end but, man, just about perfect.

I literally spend about 7 hours while the kid is at school watching TV, listening to music, or reading, so I am all about this thread right now.

Just started Homecoming on Prime with Sissy, Big Dick Bobby, Ray from Girls and Kween Julia and great so far (only 2 eps in no spoilers!)

I'm currently bingeing Grey's Anatomy, which I never watched and am halfway through the series lmao so soapy and addictive. I used to have a lot of hypochondria and anxiety about medical issues, but I've gotten past it, so now Grey's is some comfort food lol.

Other shows I'm currently watching: Schitt's Creek, New Girl, All-American, This is Us (lol), Survivor (lololol), Star... My favorite show is a summer show - CLAWS

Looking forward to Dirty John and the new seasons of Drag Race!

I have Grey's on my list. I completely was not interested in it when it was on (which is weird because I love hospitals) but there's so many seasons and I'm like, arghhh i should just dive in.

Couldn't make it through the first season, abandoned in '05. I'm amazed it's still on.

Finished the second season of Ozark. Really liked it. B+

Watched the first episode of Bodyguard. I've heard it called 'The British version of 24', so I figured I'd check it out. It was ok, I'll stick with it since the first season is only 6 episodes.

I still watch The Walking Dead mostly because I'm not looking for anything from it. It's mindless entertainment on a Sunday night.

My girlfriend watched it with her daughter so I got a running review each week. It sounded fun but wildly unrealistic, wasn't inspired to bother with it. It was real water-cooler TV over here though in these drama-deprived isles.

Not watched the current season yet but the last two or three I've had periods where I've considered why I'm bothering. The quality of writing has gone really downhill. The plotting is so damn lazy, so characters do 180s in their positions and are required to make idiotic decisions to make the plot work. It's rare that i actually enjoy an episode. i'm sitting there mentally picking it apart or just feeling ambivalent about the fate of the characters, even those we're supposed to be invested in.

I mean the zombies haven't been the primary antagonists in the show since the Governor, I guess but i think they were neutered as a genuine danger back when the group cleared the massive horde from Alexandra with just knives etc. Now if anybody gets killed by one I'm just thinking "so we're meant to believe they are a threat again now?"

they are also good for background noise, where you kinda pay attention but are focused on something else.

be prepared for a wild fuckin ride, it gets pretty dark. kenny really is a psychopath. he also does some fucked up shit with pressuring women for sex, so it's not just 'fun and games' although even the stuff with spenny goes too far at some points

despite this i now want to watch it again

BCS is very good. Everyone compares Ozark to BB so you might want to check that out too.

I mean since you've never been to the Ozarks you should at least watch a show called Ozark to make you a less shitty KCMO resident. Or don't I don't care what you do with your life, guy.

i started an experiment by watching BCS with my mom, who has never seen BB. she seems to like it, only problem is i'm never there so she hasn't been watching it. she did need a tiny bit of context regarding the 'flash-forward' opening and wtf it's called better call saul

I'm curious what they're going to do with the new BB movie. As long as Vince Gilligan is doing it I have faith that it'll be good. From what I've read it's supposed to follow Jesse after everything that happened in BB.

last i heard, there were rumours that bryan cranston isn't gonna be a major character in it, if he's gonna be at all. if that's the case, it might be a hard sell for the genera public.

but as a fan, i will 100% see it regardless.

I gotta say I was kinda relieved, though it was dumb as all fuck.

Would've been more believable if she got hit upside of the head by Lucille first.

Just finished Season 2 of The Sinner. It was OK.

Guilty pleasure watching is Escape to the Continent and gaping at how ridiculously cheap some European properties were, back in 2013.

Have given up on Zoo, I think. It reached Sharknado level in the first episode, but we kept watching it to diffuse the trauma of re-watching Lost all the way through.

Lost was sad. Really sad.

I realised that I kept watching for Michael Emerson, both times. So that was something positive. I might watch it a third time, and it would be for him. You know, in 30 years or something.

It's quite different and definitely harder to get into on account of how slowly it moves.

By the time the third season was wrapping up, I was convinced it was a brilliant show in its own right. The fourth season, however, was plodding and could arguably be described as little more than riffing on established characters with no overarching narrative of any substance on a backdrop of Breaking Bad origins lore. Without going into detail, all it served to do in my mind was rub the polish off of characters that had already been perfected.

TL;DR: Give at least the first three rounds a go.
