Caught the highlights on TSN... who peed in Crosby's cheerios?

Obviously you don't want to see your start player drop the gloves on the regular but sometimes there is no choice. I've always thought Lecavalier took the reigns from Dave Andreychuk as the leader of the Lightning when he dropped the mitts with Iginla in the 2004 final. Sometimes even the star players have to draw a line in the sand (or on the ice as it were) to say enough is enough. I'm curious what got SC87's goat.

Especially since it was NISKANEN. The kid never fights.

Plus, they were both wearing visors. Derp.

Can we just talk about how on point Tim Thomas has been? I was excited to see Tuk in his sophmore year but it hasn't been going too well

I tried to post a pic from the Maple Leafs game I went to last week but its being too big so... I'll deal with it later/never

man, OCA, Pens/Lightning games are fun to watch. Well, the one and 1/3 or so that there've been this year so far.

Niemi and Fleury are both having shit years. And they're on the list. Kris Letang (MY BOYFRIEND) leads all defensemen in points and isn't on the list.

Stupid.

well he's had a bum knee for a few games now. i'm starting to think they should sit him for a game or two to avoid making it worse. but he doesn't even look like he's making the right decisions lately. it's very strange. but you gotta figure it's just a matter of time before he starts to pick it back up. and i took him with the third pick in my draft so he'd better get on his horse soon.

i'm still cruising to a 5-0 record this week despite having both malkin and kane underproducing like crazy. my homer pick of letang has come up pretty big though.

eh, they're kinda cool in that godawful retro sorta way. the logo is nice. the stripes at the bottom are taking it a bit too far though.

Yeah they are always fun. The Bolts were outmatched in that tilt... injuries piling up and our schedule is horrendous. The Pens seem to be righting the ship as well. We're in the middle of a 15 out of 21 game road swing and then have a month long homestand later in the year. I'm just hoping we can stay in contention and get healthy in time to take a run during that long homestand.

i've come to accept the fact that your seed in the playoffs does not matter at all. so as long as the pens stay in the top 8 in the east, i'll be fine. the lightning will make the playoffs too. i imagine it'll be between the flyers, caps, pens, and lightning in the end.

rangers up 8-2 with five minutes left over oilers. i couldn't get gaborik back into my fantasy lineup, until tomorrow unfortunately. would have potted me six points so far. grr.

avery will undoubtedly get suspended for sucker punching a guy who challenged him to a fight, dropped his gloves then wasn't paying attention.

Ah, it's not as if this is some new revelation. Firing Wilson needs to be done if they aren't in contention by the break.

Stamkos is looking amazing and so is your kid Crosby. Any predictions on who wins the Rocket this year?

Agreed. Momentum (specifically goaltender), 2ndary scoring and overall team health are bigger factors in my book than team seeding.

As for the Bolts, we'll see how Boucher's sports psychology background plays out as the Bolts are gripping the sticks hard right now. We need to get back to basics... two guys in front with low wristers to the net.

i was at a show, my friend was opening for b.j. snowden. i had nhl gamecenter updates sent to my phone, but for some reason they liked to make me think the rangers were up 2-0 in the third. glad they won, though.

*shakes fist*

next time, mooney!

Pens still have at least a point in (I think) ten straight against the Rangers though. that counts for something....

that does count for something: points in the standings in the last two seasons. doesn't count for nothing right now! but don't worry, you've got five more tries.

For the second night in a row!

Seriously, I don't know how anyone could be a fan. The level of fail with that much talent every year is just unfathomable.
