I also envy people that are able to successfully work with charcoal, which you seem to be doing. Is that your preferred medium?

I'll need to come up with some energy to find some shit to post, it seems. Keep yours coming, though. Here's a dancing banana

thanks, queenoftheswine, i appreciate that. i'll look forward to seeing some of your work.

i don't know that i have a favorite medium, though charcoal is nice, given these challenging times, in that it requires minimal setup and cleanup time, no drying time (obviously), and is relatively cheap. it's well suited to the spare half hour here and there during the work week, which are the best opportunities for me these days.

How are you with requests?

I am absolutely thinking about that one image of Corgan suggesting that, perhaps, we be quiet.

hi reprise. i haven’t drawn with any seriousness in probably 15 years — not that i would call what i’ve posted “serious” (in fact, i’m trying to keep it as playful as possible for as long as possible). everything here was done over the course of about the last three months. i’d certainly be open to selling something if someone was interested, though i’ve really just been doing it for fun — and only very recently, at that. i hope that none of this somehow makes me sound like an asshole.

how much cash would you be willing to venmo?

.

requests? well, you’re my first!

i’d love to say i’d be open to it, though i fear i’d get as carried away drawing the mustache as bill did growing it

maybe if he looked more like, say, a watering can or some sort of leafy foliage, i’d feel more excited by the prospect

I particularly enjoy the 'crispness' of this most recent addition and that tasty depth of field effect.

The second upload in the original post is my personal [tip and] fave. I'm not sure how to put it, but there's something almost cinematic about the way it has been captured as if it were a frame on a roll of 8mm or maybe even a View-Master slide.

Do you have a cache of photos of stuff? I'm interested, I've never bought art before, and I like your style. I guess it depends on materials too? I hope this also doesn't make me sound like an asshole. I don't know how to gauge how it would look on a wall or something either but I'm willing to test the waters

Alright, corcho, here we go.

I find it difficult to stick to a style or medium so here's a miscellaneous assortment of stuff I've drawn or painted in recent-ish times.

thanks for sharing, queenoftheswine!

my favorite is the last one — the evocative dual gaze, the texture of the marks, the line variation, the monotone, the still-visible guidelines.

i admire your grasp of anatomical proportion (human and reptilian), and your fearlessness with color, composition, and experimentation.
