I first played with just Jimmy. There was no one else in the room. He was such a big deal to me already at that time, I could have left that room feeling satisfied that I even played with him once. But we played a handful of songs and man.. there is nothing like playing with that guy. It was surreal. He’s ridiculous.

Anyway, I was asked to come back, week after week at least 3-4 days a week. Each time playing more and more songs from the catalogue. Just Jimmy and I for a few months! At this point I wasn’t told that I had gotten the gig but I was basically rehearsing with just Jimmy. It was pretty great.
that'd probably feel weird just as months of rhythm tracks, but still what a dream

Billy was no doubt sitting in a big chair getting a massage from a record label peon while she auditioned with Jimmy

You said you've interviewed every Smashing Pumpkins bass player. Where is the Mark Tulin interview? Even more importantly, where is the Jack Bates interview?

"Burning Pools" <- Cute.

The single is actually not bad if a bit of a throwback.

Only female bass players matter in Pumpkinland.

Then edit the article to say that (except you have not interviewed Katie Cole so that would be a lie as well). I know Alternative Nation is in the clickbait game, but now outright lies?!!?!

In all seriousness those, you sound like a cool dude. I heard you on that podcast from a few years back with the virgins from Appetite for Distortion.

Interesting that she says she’s open to playing in SP again. That bridge is likely burned forever. You don’t quit Corgan. That’s the ultimate betrayal.

She was at least a guest at Billy Corgan's 50th-birthday party.
The bridge might have burnt doing this interview with Alternative Nation, platform for D'arcy's accusations against Corgan.

I guess Ginger's intention was more to promote her new song than talking about her Pumpkin's past...

"How did you come to audition for The Smashing Pumpkins for the Zeitgeist tour, and how was it first meeting and playing with Billy, Jimmy, and Jeff?

I was referred by my friend Tatiana, the same friend who referred Jeff.

By this time I had become friends with Billy.

Toward the end Jeff, Jimmy and I would be playing all together until finally Billy joined and I was told I got the gig. Ha. I don’t know. It might sound strange to be playing that long and that much without a straight answer but if you know, you know. That’s just the way it was. I had decided from the first day that I was going all in and treated it like a full time job regardless. I think my dedication paid off in the end."

Tatiana Simonian, the woman on the right, was the one, who had an influence on the engagement of Ginger and Jeff:

So Ginger played for months with Jim, not knowing if she got the job, in fact already doing rehearsals for the upcoming tour.
Sounds to me like a hired gun, not getting paid correctly since the beginning...
