i saw orange peel 6/27/2007 and then in 2008 saw 20th anniversary. 2007 was 20x better. i actually enjoyed 2007 more than the shows i saw in the 90s. i liked 2016 plainsong better than 20th anniversary.

basically 2007>1996>1998>2016>2008 for me, but i think that orange peel show was something special. plus in 1996 i was 11 so i don't remember it very well

I saw them twice in May 2000. A little late for SP1, but I made up for it by seeing Zwan's 10th and 11th shows ever at the Galaxy in St. Louis in 2002.

I've seen the many times in the SP2 era. The shows with Jimmy were fun, the ones with Mikey were not.

I saw them at the Zeitgeist release show, then at VirginFest, then on the Summer 08 tour, then on both nights of the 20th anniversary tour, and every time I saw them the band was significantly tighter and playing better together. The first night of 20th anniversary was kind of eh because they basically did the same set as the summer tour, but the second night was a real crowd pleaser. We even got a guy screaming WHERE IS JHAMES IAHAAA all night until Billy asked the crowd where James was and a woman claiming to be James was brought onstage where she informed everyone she has retired from music and was now making custom jewelry

Oceania tour, shamefully. Life kept me away during the Arising and Machina era - if I'd known then the band was ending I'd have said fuck commitments and gone.

The only time they came Montreal during the ZG period was during the overpriced Osheaga festival and I just listened with some friends close by without going in, because at the time I didn't think it was worth it to pay see the band without James and D'Arcy.

Ultimately, it's file under "kinda fun fun fact" type stuff, but moreso, it was a good show because it was my first real concert that I truly wanted to go to and lobbied my parents successfully to let me go to.

I seem to remember it being close to 100 bucks and there being no other bands I was willing to pay money for.
