Jimmy's relationship with James and D'arcy
I notice in Jimmy's interviews he barely acknowledges the existence of James and D'arcy. What gives?

Do you stop your stride when you pass by an ant hill to personally greet each and every one?

first thing that comes to mind regarding this topic is that Chris Isaak interview from '07 or '08 where he basically says they were "fashion experts" when asked about James & D'arcy's contribution to the band
for context, it was clearly meant as a sick byrne

Yeah. I've noticed that, even in more recent stuff. It's eminently clear he and Billy are better players technically. I'm sure he and Corgan, at the very least subconsciously, still feel that and feel superior to them - though they may act contentious in interviews

Yeah I remember the Isaak interview very well. They both came off horribly, and you could tell Chris Isaak was thinking "what the hell is wrong with these guys" after they said that stuff. If I'm correct Jimmy had left the band a couple of weeks before the episode premiered. I actually thought their setlist on the show was pretty great. Their arrogance at being able to play more notes than the other two is the obvious reason why the band went downhill, as if how masterfully you can play your chords is somehow more important than raw energy you bring to the group.

Bill's problems with James & D'arcy seemed near-entirely personal whereas Jim just kinda seemed to not fully respect them as musicians & only truly cared to communicate musically with the band through Billy. inevitably that might have kinda seeped through to interview demeanors

Ok so I know D and James didn’t want Jimmy in the band originally. I think they thought he didn’t fit style wise? Do you guys think that’s why Jimmy perhaps had some resentment?
