The last songs gotta be something you can get behind, right?. And it just kicks ass. Still sounds as great today as it did then

I mean it's okay, the "Come out and Play" + "Self Esteem" combo is a ton of fun, but the rest of the album just isn't very memorable

I'VE BEEN LOOKING AT 90'S MUSIC CRITICALLY AND I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THIS IS INDEED A TIMELESS RECORD DESERVING OF RECOGNITION

THE RECOGNITION IT HAS RECEIVED IN THE 20 YEARS SINCE ITS RELEASE IS NOT ENOUGH

Fuzzy is like the second coming of Banana. Everything he says is expressed in a sensationalized hyperbolic way.

Which is the best post-punk poster, fuzzyroes or Banana?

i remember reading an insomniac era interview in one of those magazines where it talked about billy joe's black on black converse so i began searching for a pair (never even knew they existed until then) and then it mentioned patching tears in his black chinos with red dental floss and so i had to try that too

I remember having to mail order Airwalks the summer after 8th grade because no stores within our 45 mile shopping radius carried them.

heh that's awesome. I always read about countless musicians claiming Green Day as the band that got them into music. It's definitely interesting, I guess maybe the simplicity and straightforward approach resonated with the youngsters.

They didnt get me into music per se but...i learned to play bass partly along their first four records whether i like to admit it or not... Not JUST Green Day but i did play them a lot and i can sometimes recognize still today the influence in some patterns i play even if i don't do pop punk at all.

That's cool man. I'm the same way to a much greater extent. It's not like I still go around with Green Day blasting on my headphones. In fact I rarely listen to em at all anymore, but it still doesn't take away from the strong influence they've had on my musical upbringing.

Though, when I'm hammered some place and their only decent CD is Dookie it still makes for a rad nostalgia trip. Insomniac and a few tracks from American Idiot are the only Green Day tracks I ever revist now and again.
