i'm 11 days in without a cigarette. i've only had to chew on a nicorette 3 or 4 times. certain events trigger me. i usually have a cigarette on my way to the train station when going to therapy and it felt like my day was off not being able to just grab one. tim and i barbecued outside and that also felt weird without a cigarette. we don't ask each other 'do you want to go outside?' anymore, which was code for do you want a cigarette? i miss going outside. ; [

I'm not bigoted at all. I speak out vehemently against racism, I believe women should have equal rights, I believe in freedom of choice and marriage equality. I'm essentially one of the most open minded people. I've just read a lot about transgenderism being linked to body dysmorphia so perhaps we should refrain from championing the movement until a little more is learned about it.

If you guys actually did a little research on the topic as opposed to jumping on the bandwagon like sheep you'd learn that there's actually a ton of "liberal minded" doctors who are staunchly against the procedure and the hormone therapy.

It's just wrong to paint someone with such a broad brush because they're skeptical about a certain medical procedure that illicits no medical benefits and actually just adds considerably more health concerns... All for the matter of satisfying ones fantasy.

If it wasn't a total cash cow for the medical industry then you could be sure that doctors would recommend against it.
