$133 for 6 cd's is ridiculous. If it was reasonably priced it'd be around $10 for each CD plus maybe $15 more for the packaging for a total of around $80. As it is now we're essentially being charged $20 for each disc of the set.

Will download instead.

This is the first one I'm not going to preorder. That price feels like they're taking advantage of people who are always going to buy no matter what. And decoupage, whatever that even is, adds insult to injury. I probably would have said "fuck it" and just bought it, but decoupage is one straw too many. Pay that much for one of your favorite albums and a lot of extra content? Expensive but ok, id do it. But pay that much and have part of the justification be a set of fucking stickers?? No thank you

The price of this thing is idiotic. Reminds me of when NIN did the Ultra-Deluxe-TRWILLHAVESEXWITHYOU Version of Ghosts.

Costs the equivalent of $220 in the UK.
The Sufjan Stevens christmas box had 5 discs and only cost roughly $50.

Maybe EMI are compensating for the poor sales of previous sets, but in any case it's just way too fucking high. Over triple the price it should've been.

Are we going to be seeing any press for this release? Their biggest album, and I've yet to see anything in the news about it besides the release info.. And we've got a couple weeks before release now.

Last year the SD release got high profile coverage on BBC Radio One and in the music press a few weeks before release. I've heard nothing in the press about MCIS and I think the price indicates they've abandoned promoting to the casual fan who bought the album back in 95, and are instead sucking as much cash as they can from the fans that remain.

£120 sterling is a fucking joke. Will be downloading this and buying once it drops to half the price.

No the price is a result of the time of year. Christmas boxed sets automatically have an extra $100 tacked on to them.

In a few months it will be on popmart and all the other clearance sites for a fraction what it is now.

Amazon.ca has also listed it as 'currently unavailable' where the US site lists it at $73.

Monte snitched, didn't he?

Maybe if you hadn't advertised it on your stupid fucking website Monte it wouldn't have been such a free for all, it blatently costs a lot to produce, so why advertise something that would potentially lose money for your best mate...

Beyond ridiculous - got this email while I was in Target tonight, and it blew my mind.

Love that you guys are finding a way to blame this on Monte... let's focus it in on Amazon.ca instead - nasty emails, etc. Brendo, you're spot on - unwilling to take a loss, so they just cancel all the orders. LAME.
