Yup, love it. Have to do it in moderation due to being a dad. It certainly helped me in the Florida situation described above.

It's basically one long interview with a barefoot Iggy in his laundry room recounting a sanitized story of the Stooges and of course he leaves out all the dirty details and truth.
It just seemed really lazy and not very interesting at all. It's an illustrated wikipedia entry. |

Are violence and competition essential aspects of human existence or could we one day evolve beyond them?

Humans are nothing more than animals. Advanced animals, but still animals. Check out British philosopher John Gray's STRAW DOGS for a good examination of this concept and futility of "progress". But to simply answer your question, we will not evolve beyond violence and competition unless we become some kind of passive cyborgs. We can drastically reduce them through humanitarian constructs though. We're doing a pretty fucking shitty job of it currently, though violence, poverty and hunger actually have reduced drastically as time as progressed. |

What do you teach? (you don't have to answer if you don't want to, but I was curious)
What is the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made? What’s a body part that you wouldn’t mind losing? If you had access to trying human flesh no questions asked and no legal repercussions, would you try it? |

Teaching: I teach AP (Advanced Placement) Language and Composition to Juniors (3rd year of high school, 16-17 year olds). It's like upper-level English that you can get college credit for. Lots of reading and writing. Rhetorical analysis, argument, synthesis, etc. Purchases: Best: hospital bills for my daughter; computer for pirating movies and music and comics Worst: I have over-bought comic books and graphic novels to a startling amount. I've slowed a lot but it was an obsession for many years. I have a shitload of books too but I'm cool with those, just wish I hadn't bought so many comics. We have a lot of Ikea bookshelves in our house... luckily we got a good deal on a big house. Body part: Wouldn't mind losing my fuckin' gut haha!!! Human flesh: if it's properly prepared, sure why not? |

As in, they've had it explained to them that Turdlion is keen for a feed and that's just the way she goes?

in all scenarios that follow, let’s assume you have footwear with superb grip and so slipping or losing your footing is not an issue. perhaps like track spikes or cleats on a sufficiently grippy surface. also let’s assume you are wearing a nice protective helmet
now, what if there were a series of 15 foot tall, 10 foot wide, 1 foot thick panels composed only of the red material in a watermelon, and they were spaced 10 feet apart. with a running head start, how many panels do you think you could run through before coming to a stop? how about if the panels were only 3 feet apart? how about if the panels were only 2 inches thick and were 3 feet apart, how manu panels could you run through before coming to a stop? and if the two inch thick panels were 10 feet apart, how many could you run through before coming to a stop? please assume that there are enough panels that you could never run out or reach the end. the series continues forever Last edited by wHATcOLOR : 07-16-2018 at 03:09 AM. |
