Nostalgia is the biggest selling point there is for touring artists. There's a whole generation of people who look at generation X fondly and now there's only 2 of the big bands left... That's a major selling point for the concert going audience.

And who said anything about taking from someone else? It's just happenstance that happens to greatly benefit Corgan's stupid ole brand

Yeah, I kinda think it's just Billy and Eddie V left now too...but away from the 'grunge' scene and into the more general alt-era of those early years, there's still the Chili Peppers, Weezer, even Jane's Addiction I suppose.

Yeah that's true. But the early 90's to me was represented by the dark, depressing type of music and to think that they're nearly all gone now really sucks ass. Even Pearl Jam was the more upbeat of the grunge bands and Corgans all about the happy go lucky shit now... It just sucks. No chance to really experience that music anymore. It's the worst for the younger kids coming up. At least we got to see these bands live and shit.

I actually rented that concert release once... Man, it was terrible. Hard to fathom why they'd even bother releasing such a turd.

How about you go fuck yourself

You like this bullshit because you listened to it in high school

Nothing wrong with that, but don't throw a fit when someone disconnected from your nostalgia isn't into it

What, Elph? No, he's always like that. Probably his dad's been ragging on him to take out the garbage again. I wouldn't worry about it.

I know elph comes across as a bit of a music snob sometimes, but he's got high artistic standards. This isn't exactly a bad thing guys. It's the kind of focus you need if you wanna become a successful musician.

OR you could just say R.I.P. or not say anything at all. Making a stupid comment about him being overrated and offering nothing of substance is absolutely useless. I mean, you don't even come with anything witty.

I mean, he knows what he likes and has his standards for it when he goes about finding music to listen to.

I used to be the same way when music was really important to me.

I feel I'm entitled to expressing my opinion without you taking it personally

I just find it ironic that you're the one to throw around this T-shirt mentality when nobody takes their music more personally than you

You're entitled to say whatever you want, I'm entitled to react however I want. That's how this whole thing works.

It's like in the Bill Paxton thread where you're all "Who?" Like, what's the use in being such a useless dick about these things? I get it. You don't like Soundgarden. Cool. You never saw Aliens. Cool. But why comment on shit you have no relevant perspective on? A singer for a band I have enjoyed most of my life killed himself for reasons we may never know. I reserve the right to lash out at you for being a dick about it.
