Has the song Air ever been released? I could have sworn that it surfaced but simply cannot find it. Also, thanks for the quick reply.

are these the shows/setlists that were added to spfc.org a couple of years ago? i don't think anything of that is out there. i always assumed quinto added those setlists to spfc.org while he was working on the archives.

man it will be great when these shows surface so everyone can quickly skip through it listening to half of each track then never listen again just like they did with Avalon.

I guess I am in the minority on this. I absolutely love listening to those older, rawer performances. Plus, I find those one off and rare tracks to be pretty interesting. Really wish Jimmy wouldn’t have skipped out on Billy when they went in to record all those early tracks.

Before it came out people would not fucking shut up about it. After it came out it totally vanished of the radar. Kinda discouraging and while not a huge factor it was a factor in me throwing in the towel 10 years ago. |

I assume you’re talking about the 1988-08-10 show? If so man I am heavily indebted to you. I really love this show and it’s the key item bridging The Marked into Smashing Pumpkins. I might be setting myself up here, but I listen to this show a few times a month. I have used it to compile my own pre-Gish album and the like. Is there anymore to the back story of how this became public?

billy gave a copy on a cd-r to dave asselin in 1999: http://www.spfreaks.com/default.aspx...TAILS&item=578
i don't know if this was the only copy out there, or how it finally became public. |
