Ouch... the game last night was a graveyard for FH goaltenders but entertaining as hell. I wouldn't be a fan of regulating the league so that all games are such scorefests but they are a ton of fun to watch on occasion. It really felt like two heavyweights taking haymakers back and forth with no attempt to even block a punch.

picking loui eriksson in like the fifth round in my has certainly helped me be in first place in my pool. stamkos, hasn't hurt, either. also, all five necessary defenceman on my team are on pace for 50+ points.

WHERE YOU AT NOW, MOONEY?

3-0 Pens. Avery just took Tyler Kennedy down and then punched him in the head after he landed hard on his back. What a fucking asshole.

For the second night in a row!

Seriously, I don't know how anyone could be a fan. The level of fail with that much talent every year is just unfathomable.
curse of teal

are any teal teams good, ever?

they wear dark blue and baby blue dude

Dolphins is the first i thought of. They were original with that though.

but, the Jaguars, Sharks, Ducks (until they went to black), all never really won anything or was ever taken very seriously.

oh haha then there's the Marlins who win World Series and nobody even cares or remembers because they sell off the whole team like it was an accident

I once got in a two-year long argument about Aayla Secura's skin color being either blue-green or green-blue, which finally ended one night in a serious grappling match. True story.

Sharks vs. Wings tonight. the Tank was out of power until a couple hours ago, they were close to having to cancel the game. no morning skate for either team.

Sharks still figuring out life without Nabokov. Nittymaki is alright thus far, nice and quick but vulnerable over the shoulders as he's smallish. Niemi can look very good when he wants to, which was once this year against the Hawks last week.

Sharks blue line is a mess. Wilson will have to bring in a top D-man eventually and he usually gets his man when he needs it. Not always the right one, but he'll get somebody.

Nittymaki tonight. Sharks are inconsistent but have played well in those circle-the-calender-games, they win tonight. They might actually be better off with their minor league D-men for now...Huskins and Wallin have been marginal at best since they've been in S.J.

I'm considering dropping Nittymaki and picking up some other flavor of the month backup.

I need a proven fucking starter but I doubt I can find one in a trade ahhhhh

Lehtonen has been surprisingly alright for my fantasy team. Having Tim Thomas also kinda helps...

i've had a mish-mash of goalies all year. and goalies make up a third of our statistical categories. somehow i'm still 7-0 despite that and my first two picks being the underperforming Malkin and Kane.

that is actually kind of awesome.

but i picked up bobrovski after watching him against the pens in the season opener. i started out with vokoun, who is inconsistent and on a shitty team, and anderson, who got hurt. i then picked up brent johnson just as his hot streak stopped. then dropped him and picked up nittymaki. once anderson comes back, i'll probably take him of IR? but who do i get rid of? would anyone want to take two decent backups in a trade for one solid proven starter? i seriously doubt it. blah. this is gonna come back to bite me.

I still think Niemi will be the guy down the stretch and into the playoffs. coach Mclellan is going with the hot hand regardless, so he hasn't been shy to use Nittymaki.

funnest player to watch for the Sharks these days is Logan Couture. He's the leading rookie goal scorer (at least last week he still was) and very skilled passer. Setoguchi has floated between all 4 lines this year...it's always better when he's hot on the 1st line with Thornton and Heatley and free up Marleau to other lines. But Setoguchi's the key to that, if he's lazy coach will bury him and go with the big 3 on the top line.

I love my Hawks, but I'm no hockey whiz, especially fantasy...but is Kane really underperforming? He's close to 30 points on the year thus far.

http://espn.go.com/nhl/powerrankings

such a change from 2 weeks ago.. a week even. The teams I would have expected to be at the top finally crept up.. Bruins dropped though, lame. At least the kings got kicked off their top slot and are even below us now

Well I guess he's come around in the last few weeks. But for the first few he was basically nonexistent. Probably because he was hungover from the summer still.

Malkin really needs to pick it up though.

Also, thank you Nittymaki for putting me in a giant hole this week. fuuuuuuuuuck.
