julie doiron lives in my town (5000 pop.)
there was a band that lived here that is now defunct that she played with a bit called shotgun & jaybird. i played foosball with a member on saturday night. in-flight safety formed when going to university here, i think. or something along those lines. that is all i can think of right now.

i don't think i've ever seen a local band in san antonio worth a shit.
you can't get anywhere on the music scene here unless you can play covers esp play that funky music white boy or if you have some really dramatic emometal name like killface or death to everything the only one i can really actually get behind was a band my friend was in but it got to the point where it was like some of their songs were pretty good but most of them were just dreadfully boring. They were called Humdrum, too. They had a Corganish lead singer who thought he could do no wrong and would fuck up vocals frequently and refuse to take lessons. |

Two NYC bands, one of which I have grown up with the members, and the other in which I have recently become friends with. They are both different, but both really bring it to the live show.
