Incredibles 2 - 5/5
The first is one of my favorite Pixar movies and this second one is easily just as good. It's visually incredible in many ways, and they display more creativity in their use of character superpowers than most Marvel movies.

trainspotting 2 - none of you will relate to my old man opinion or the fact that I like it despite disliking quite a few things, but some of that is just Hollywood.

Jason Bourne - I keep fucking falling sleep in the first 39 minutes. have tried to watch it 83 times. trying rn too. it's ok.

street Kings - there Is something to like about films involving Ayer. no fuquaaaah, I like elements of this heap of shit. Forrest Whittaker is bad acting cuz everyone in this movie sucks and anyone who is actually good is dumbing down to reach Keanu's repeated brain dead oatmeal man. Bore fest. will probably watch it again.

blade runner 2049 - 6 times at least. I love everything about it(except for a handful of moments that bordered.... I don't have much to nit on I loved the soundtrack but I wish Johan had worked out I wants to hear that. rip in peace. Denis is the fucking legit shit.

Clouds of Sils Maria - B+

Personal Shopper - A

2 great K Stew films by the same French director. Shopper is especially well done, and very tense/scary in parts

ready player one - great until the Spielberg ending. fuck. have to ruin e erything with ambiguous happiness. fuck this semi decent movie. I'll watch it again when I'm just as stoned as last night. beautiful garbage. the homages and "easter eggs" are fun but too many. fucking product placement movies.

The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp - A

Epic technicolor masterpiece from Powell and Pressburger. Great acting.

Independence Day: Ressurgence - 2/5
It's a terrible film BUT the amount of senseless destruction, crazy dumb action and insanity on screen is almost unparalleled. Also the cast is almost shockingly good, what a waste of Maika Monroe tho.

Tau - 1/5
Speaking of wasting Maika Monroe, god this film was a waste of time. Even Gary Oldman delivers a sub par performance as the titular AI. This feels like a movie that tries really hard to seem smart but is written by someone with the intellect of a Pug.

Ant-Man and the Wasp - 4/5
Really fun and engaging for the most part. Loved how low stakes the story was, especially after the universe spanning bombast of Infinity War. They got really inventive with shrinking and enlarging random objects, the main chase sequence being about people trying to steal a shrunk down building was cool.

Good analysis. As a comic book nerd, it was awesome having the original hank pym and Janet van dyne together as well (and Pfeiffer was great)
