if it's about vocal tone alone it just becomes a boring discussion entirely reliant on preference.
if you take into account all the other factors i was talking about at least it's debatable and interesting
Fine, I suppose I should've thought twice before bringing him to the table when discussing THE best rock singers in recent times. However, I'd argue that he does shine technically as well. He's got great control over his voice (see that Nude clip), and he consistently delivers live - whereas a ton of "great" vocalists (Cebric Bixler) are very hit and miss. Plus, I'd say he has the range. Falsettos aside, there's a long way from something like "I Will" to "Creep".

Thom Yorke haters are wrong. Especially in the old days, he had this sprawling, raw, far-reaching quality to his voice. Lots of power behind it too. His vibrato echoes into the deep pools in my soul.

I agree. On the first three Radiohead albums he has an amazing voice. After that his voice got kind of ragged.

ragged? no it changed because he used his voice as an instrument because of the lack of guitar but it was not ragged

Was somebody here implying punk rock is dead? How then could it appear in one of the FOX channel's fine contemporary animated programs?

as long as people snarl in the face of authority and do what they fuck they please in spite of social norms then punk is never dead and i would never ever imply that it was

it is a good bookend to use because otherwise people will just talk about robert plant and shit
