I went to buy the CD from the Make website and shipping to Virginia was $9.54 for a $10 item. I'll wait for it to show up somewhere reasonable, but if you like his work I do hope you shell out a few dollars to encourage his work.

Edit: It is available on Amazon but doesn't ship until January.

Edit2: Fuck it, I just overspent on shipping.

...just listened to the samples on Amazon.

This sounds more like a new jazz project than a Complex album.

I wish Jimmy didn't abandon the direction he took with 'Paranoia'. Now THAT sounds
like the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex:

I'll still wait in which way they put out PARANOIA: new bonus track, bonus disc or extra disc...

Should also add I'll be very disappointed when the album sounds nothing like this.

Prepare to be disappointed then!

I'm a little bummed at how jazzy this record is, I was hoping for something more fusion-y/tuneful like the first record, I especially liked where Paranoia was heading, that's a REALLY great track, backed up by a killer video.

While I enjoy the Parable, I doubt I'll listen to this as much as I did Life Begins Again, that record to me is so great, start to finish.

If I get a solid listen I'll be happy. Perhaps smoke thru the afternoon with it, depending on when it arrives.

THE PARABLE

1. Horus and the Pharaoh (6:19)
2. The Parable (6:50)
3. Thoughts of Days Long Past (4:17)
4. El Born (6:11)
5. Magick Moon (4:51)
6. Dance of the Grebe (7.39)

The record is only 36:07 minutes long, had enough space for adding PARANOIA...
The best song from the new releases is missing.
While this song sounds more like fusion jazz from the seventies, the other songs are more like cool jazz from the sixties. The different style might be the reason why they didn't put the song on the actual album.

On Amazon in the United States there's only the announcement for the CD and the vinyl to be published on January 12 next year.
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=dp_byli...ch-alias=music

On Amazon in Germany you can get now the digital download of the songs or the complete album without any hint of other later formats.
Clips of 30 seconds for each song are audible.

Does somebody know a download tool for the 30 sec clips from Amazon?

For most music this length might be enough...

I can't believe no torrents about, I just bought a fucking mp3 copy for like £5. HD Tracks hs 24 bit for £16 but meh.

It's always great to hear more but the original album was so badass.

it's weird lately, what is up with de Amazon, it's all just 256 mp3s now?
still a good deal, 6 euros for this is dirt cheap.

official JC store does not exist, does it? I'd rather pay directly than on amazon.

or I am just blind, I see only that one track here
https://jimmychamberlincomplex.bandcamp.com/releases

and the label page offers no digital release and says out of stock for the CD. huh?

I just listened to it for the first time, quite a pleasant listen. I much rather listen to Jimmy's full blown jazz record than Billy's whatever record.

Also i met Jimmy in 2005 and told him i much preferred his solo album to that of Billy. I wouldn't use the same worde if i met him this year but the same is true again. Funny how they both released solo albums only in 2005 and 2017

Complex music was never much for me, but I got to see JC play a couple of jazz gigs in Chicago. I'm all for jazzy JC albums.
IF I CAN ALSO PURCHASE THEM SOMEWHERE

God I'm jealous

When I went to Chicago earlier this month, I inadvertently snapped a pic of Andy's Jazz Club, just cause I thought the sign looked cool. Little did I know Jimbo would be playing there later and I couldn't go.

Not only the CD is out of stock, even both vinyls.

So, no records at all available anymore, but a new shirt:
https://www.makerecords.com/product-...omplex-t-shirt
For just 20 dollars the reprint of the album cover looks cooler than all the shit BILLY has released lately under the SMASHING PUMPKINS brand...

MAKE RECORDS, make MORE records! Now with PARANOIA as a bonus track...

One of the best ambient jazz / fusion / alt-rock jazz groups out there. This song is so thick and colorful with layers of sound. Another stellar performance from JCC!
